James Fannon

Director & Senior Physiotherapist

James started Physio and Exercise Lab after many years working in private practice; gaining experience in a vast range of sports and musculoskeletal injuries, post-operative orthopaedic rehabilitation, and hydrotherapy. He enjoys treating a variety of conditions coming through the clinic and is skilled in dealing with neck and; back pain, upper and lower limb injuries, vertigo and concussion, functional gym-based strengthening, as well as exercise/load prescription and training planning.

James completed his undergraduate degree at Curtin University and has since been involved in elite sport in the capacity of both athlete and physiotherapist. In 2017 he represented Australia at the Men’s FINA World Championships in Budapest. He was previously the head physiotherapist for Palmyra Rugby Union Club from 2014 – 2018 and is currently the head physiotherapist for the Fremantle Water Polo Club Men’s National League Team. With his passion towards sports including injuries and rehabilitation he has completed the Graduate Certificate in Sports Physiotherapy at La Trobe University.

Outside of the clinic, James enjoys keeping very active himself. He currently plays waterpolo at Melville Water Polo Club, has taken a keen interest to cycling and rides regularly, dabbles in running, and enjoys competing in various triathlons and adventure racing.

There is no problem too big or small for James. He is confident he is able to assist you no matter the issue.

James is an expert in sports injuries, musculoskeletal issues, and post-operative orthopaedic rehabilitation. He earned his undergraduate degree from Curtin University and holds a Graduate Certificate in Sports Physiotherapy from La Trobe University, making him well-equipped to provide top-quality healthcare.
